  Liu Xueyin, born in August 1940 in Xiangcheng, Henan Province, is a male Han Chinese, known by the art name Huaiyin Jushi. He is a renowned Chinese calligrapher whose works have been selected for the book "A Century of Calligraphy".

Artistic Achievements

 
       Liu Xueyin is a member of the China Calligraphers Association, a Chinese National Gift Artist, President of the China Calligraphy and Art Research Institute, Standing Director of the China Calligraphy and Painting Artists Association, China Calligraphy Creation Researcher, and Charity Ambassador of the China Artists Charity Federation.

       Specializes in Regular Script and Running-Cursive Script. Published over 20 books, including "Research on Regular Script Calligraphy", "Collection of Running-Cursive Ink", "Overview of Calligraphy", "Great Dictionary of Contemporary Chinese Calligraphy", "Analysis of Calligraphic Structure", etc. Some of his calligraphy works have been collected by multiple museums and published in postage stamp albums.

Teacher-Student Lineage:
      Liu Xueyin studied under Mr. Liu Yunzhong, a descendant of Liu Gongquan, beginning his calligraphy training at the age of 16.

Awards and Honors (Partial):
1990, Won the Second Prize in the Four-City Calligraphy Exhibition of Henan.
1992, First Prize in the Henan Province Calligraphy Competition.
1995, First Prize in the National Regular Script Calligraphy Competition.
1996, Won the Gold Medal in the "Chun Mo" National Calligraphy Competition.
1998, Selected and won the First Prize in the First Beijing Running-Cursive Calligraphy Exhibition.
1999, Invited to serve as a judge for the "Xinfeng Cup" National Youth Calligraphy Competition.
2000, Selected for inclusion in the China Calligraphers Association publication "A Century of Calligraphy".
2003, The article "Calligraphic Structure and Form" was included in the Ministry of Education's "Calligraphy Teaching Syllabus" and published.
2004, Won the First Prize in the Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition hosted by the China Calligraphy Art Research Society; awarded the title "Outstanding Meritorious Calligrapher of Contemporary China" in the same year.
2008, Won the "Gold Medal" in the Olympic-themed National Calligraphy and Painting Competition, and was included in the book "With Me for the Olympics: Masterpieces of Outstanding Works".
2009, Won the "Gold Medal" in the National Calligrapher Invitation Competition hosted by the China Calligraphers Association and was rated as a Master-level Calligrapher.
2010, Awarded the title "Outstanding Contemporary Calligrapher" by the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China.
2011, At the National Calligraphy Exhibition held in Beijing, his calligraphy work was auctioned on-site for RMB 1.68 million, and the entire amount was donated to relevant calligraphy research institutions to support the study and preservation of ancient calligraphy.
