Personal Profile

Wang Dechun, male, 76 years old, ancestral home in Henan Xiping County, came to Xinjiang in 1966 and worked as a farmer in Ruoqiang County. In 2005, he moved to Korla to live with his son. He studies calligraphy and literature at the Bayingolin Elderly University. He is currently a council member of the Bayingolin Poetry Association, a member of the Xinjiang Poetry Association, vice chairman of the Bayingolin Elderly Writers Association, a member of the Bayingolin Calligraphers Association, a member of the China Elderly Calligraphers Association, a registered talent in the Cultural Department's Art and Culture Center Talent Database, and a member of the Hong Kong Literary Federation Calligraphers Association. He is also a specially appointed senior calligraphy researcher at the Henan Ten Thousand Art and Culture Center. His works have been exhibited and won multiple awards in Beijing, Guiyang, Urumqi, and Korla.
