Member of the Chinese Calligraphy Big-character Committee, member of the Henan Provincial Calligraphers Association, Vice President of the Peony Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute, and contracted calligrapher of the Beijing Hanmo Art Institute.
Since childhood, Mr. Yang has been immersed in the art of calligraphy, studying under the traditions of Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi. Later, he diligently practiced the essential styles of Yan Zhenqing, Liu Gongquan, Ouyang Xun, and Zhao Mengfu, persisting for decades without interruption, ultimately achieving great mastery. His works are particularly renowned for their running and regular script, characterized by elegant and free-spirited brushwork, deeply penetrating power; compositional openness and refined beauty, endowed with natural genius and divine grace. Viewing his works evokes a sense of exhilaration and fluidity, with an overwhelming momentum that rivals the spirit of Wang Xizhi! His works have been repeatedly presented as “state gifts” to foreign ambassadors to China, business elites, and international friends!
In recent years, Mr. Yang has participated multiple times in national painting and calligraphy competitions and won awards.
In 2015, he was invited to participate in the Henan Province Outstanding Talent Achievements Exhibition, where he won the Gold Medal, and his work was collected by the organizing committee.
In 2016, he was selected by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security’s National Talent Mobility Center and the Editorial Board of the “Chinese Talent Dictionary” for inclusion in the “Chinese Talent Dictionary.”
In November 2017, he received the “Chinese Artistic Talent” award and was honored with the title “Contemporary Master of Painting and Calligraphy Who Has Influenced China.”
