Mao Hongxing

  Mao Hongxing, male, from Xin'an County, Luoyang City. Currently a member of the China Couplets Society, Henan Province Couplets Society; a member of the Henan Province Calligraphers Association; a member of the Henan Province Poetry Society; Art Advisor of the Calligraphers Association of Xin'an County, China's Calligraphy Hometown; Special Invited Calligrapher of the Daimei Academy of Painting and Calligraphy. Formerly invited to serve as Vice Chairman of the China Contemporary Art Association and Executive Vice Chairman of the Art Committee of Xinhua Art Network. A contemporary master calligrapher.

 

        Mao Hongxing has been passionate about calligraphy since childhood, practicing diligently with profound skill. He integrates the dynamic, swift, and free-flowing style of Mi Fu with the steady, vigorous, balanced, and natural characteristics of Zhao Zhiqian, while also incorporating the brushwork of Chu Suiliang's regular script, forming his own artistic style that is both ancient, substantial, robust, and stable, yet still agile and ethereal. His works are appreciated by both the general public and art connoisseurs, meeting popular aesthetic standards while possessing high artistic value. His works have won the First China Arts "Golden爵 Award"; the Gold Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Development of Chinese Poetry; the Annual Top Ten Challenger Award from the China Couplets Newspaper; the Second Prize in the National Forest Fire Prevention Calligraphy Exhibition; the Third Prize in the Sixth National Population Census Painting, Calligraphy, and Photography Competition; selected for the 11th and 20th Henan Province Mass Calligraphy Exhibitions; selected for the First Henan Province Military-Civilian Unity Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition; selected for the "Focus on People's Livelihood" Henan Province Civil Servant Calligraphy Exhibition; the Excellent Award in the Henan Province "Geological and Mineral Cup" Couplets Calligraphy Competition; selected for the First "Helo Shufeng" Calligraphy Exhibition; selected for the Shaanxi Weinan Exhibition Commemorating the Birth of Bai Juyi in Painting, Calligraphy, and Photography.
