Zhang Jianli, born in 1980, from Shenqiu, Henan Province, is a member of the Chinese Bangshu Art Research Association and a member of the Henan Provincial Calligraphers Association. He has loved calligraphy since childhood, beginning his study with Yan Kai style, and later became a disciple of the renowned calligrapher Ma Ben, Vice Chairman of the China Financial Calligraphers Association, shifting his focus to Wei Bei, clerical script, running and cursive scripts, with particular expertise in Wei Bei stone carvings such as the Longmen Grottoes statues. His works have been exhibited in various levels of calligraphy exhibitions and published in multiple media outlets and magazines, earning recognition and guidance from many renowned artists. He has frequently visited colleges and universities, primary and secondary schools, and rural communities to promote and popularize calligraphy education.
