Personal Profile

Zhan Weihua graduated from the Fine Arts Education Department of Henan University. He joined the Kaifeng Artists Association in 2001 and was appointed as a painter by the China Calligraphy and Painting Academy, under the Center for Art Development of the Ministry of Culture, in 2013. In 1994, his decorative painting "Wall Hanging" won the Excellence Award at the 8th Kaifeng Art Exhibition; in 1994, his yarn decorative painting "Morning Song" was published in the magazine "Furniture & Life"; in 1995, his yarn decorative painting "Clear Snow" was published in the magazine "Furniture & Life"; in 1995, his lacquer painting "Evening Return" was selected for the "Chinese Women Artists' Works Exhibition" held during the Fourth World Conference on Women; in 2017, he participated in the "China-Australia Twin Cities Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition" and received an Excellence Award; in 2018, he participated in the "9th Painting, Calligraphy and Seal Carving Exhibition" and won an Excellence Award.
