Personal Profile

Leng Ling, male, Han ethnicity, born in 1986 in Henan, Guangshan County. Member of the China Artists Exchange Association, student of Ruan Chengsen, reporter for China New Countryside Magazine, talent agent, member of the Henan Observational Stone Association, online antique auctioneer, and private disciple of auctioneer Wang Fengguan.Since childhood, he has been passionate about painting, developing his own style and insights.Chinese painting is characterized by "qi," which constitutes the foundation of Chinese art. There is a natural, inevitable connection between water and qi, with multiple channels for their mutual transformation. The transition from water to qi is not only a physical phenomenon in nature but also implies a unique transformation in Chinese painting art; it is both an artistic creation and a representation of the unity between heaven and humanity. Water, whether as subject or medium, directly connects with the vital flow of qi in Chinese painting, ultimately shaping Chinese painting into a framework defined by qi. After water dries on rice paper, the traces it leaves behind form a completely "transparent" painting—a water-and-empty-space composition radically distinct from Western painting.Once again, the artist demonstrates his philosophy in his unique manner—that using traditional Chinese ink brush techniques to paint watercolors, and enriching Chinese ink brushwork with watercolor textural methods, is not merely a belief or innovation, but also represents the harmonious fusion of watercolor and ink, their mutual dependence. This is precisely the distinctive "Chinese painting style" embodied by Master Leng, forming his unique artistic identity.
