Yang Xiujie

Yang Xiujie: Style name, Gu Yang, from Daqing, Heilongjiang. Since childhood, he has been passionate about painting, pursuing on his artistic journey the ideals of "fresh, elegant, and full of vitality," and upholding the artistic philosophy of "sunshine, scenery, and vitality." He uses the concept of "achieving something meaningful and finding joy in old age" to portray the most beautiful golden years of life. After retirement, he enrolled in the Municipal Elderly University, where he studied under the renowned artist Liu Boliang in freehand brushwork flower-and-bird painting, landscape ink painting, and calligraphy. He is currently a member of the Daqing Folk Artists Association, the Daqing Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Daqing Calligraphers Association, the Daqing Moyu Valley Painting Academy, and the China Artists Association. His works have won awards multiple times.
