Chi Fengge, also known as Master of Jixiang Hall, was born in 1968 in Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province. He graduated from Qiqihar University in 1990. Currently serving as Director of Production at Heilongjiang Women’s Prison, he is also a National Registered Senior Auditor of the China Certification & Accreditation Association, a member of the China Calligraphers and Painters Association, President of the Hong Kong Chang’e International Calligraphy and Painting Academy, Consultant to the Heilongjiang Malaysia Chamber of Commerce, member of the Heilongjiang Artists Association, member of the Heilongjiang Directly Subordinate Organs Artists Association, contracted artist of the Heilongjiang Daily Art Gallery, consultant to the Heilongjiang Provincial People’s Congress Cultural Exchange Center, archivist of the Harbin Municipal Museum of History and Culture, member of the Harbin Calligraphers Association, and Honorary President of Haifeng Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute. His calligraphy and painting works have been collected by institutions and individuals both domestically and internationally.
His works “Golden Autumn” and “Bountiful Fruits” won the First Prize at the Qiqihar University Art Exhibition.
His work “Hundred Cranes” won the First Prize at the Qiqihar City Fine Arts Competition.
His paintings “Qilin Bringing a Son” and “Guanyin” received the First Prize in Heilongjiang Province.
His works “Dense Lotus Painting,” “Longevity Chart,” and “Good Fortune and Auspiciousness” won the First Prize from the Heilongjiang Provincial Prison Administration.
His ink paintings “Lotus and Geese” and “Splendid Future” are collected by the Heilongjiang Provincial Library.
His calligraphy works “Detached and Clear-Minded” and “Great Wisdom Appears Foolish” are collected by the Heilongjiang Library.
His works and personal features have been published in newspapers, magazines, and online platforms such as China Daily Network, Chinese Artists, China Decision-Making and Policy Participation Network, China News Service, China Prison Voice, China BoBao Art Network, Shanxi Gift Customization Network, Shaanxi Xiaoci Network, Xin Dushi Bao, Qiqihar Daily, Hecheng Evening News, and Heilongjiang Prison.
In 2014, he published “Selected Works of Chi Fengge’s Calligraphy and Painting”; in 2016, China Post published “Commemorative Stamp Collection of Chi Fengge’s Artworks for the 95th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China” and “Commemorative Stamp Collection of Chi Fengge’s Artworks for the 35th Anniversary of Sino-U.S. Diplomatic Relations.” In 2017, China Post published and distributed “One Belt, One Road, Chinese Dream: Commemorative Stamp Collection of Contemporary Chinese Master Calligrapher and Painter Chi Fengge” and “Celebrating the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China: Commemorative Stamp Collection of Contemporary Chinese Master Calligrapher and Painter Chi Fengge.”
His achievements have been included in “Chinese Biographical Dictionary. Contemporary Volume,” “World Cultural Celebrities. Chinese Volume,” and “Realizing the Chinese Dream: Era Models – Calligraphy and Painting Edition.”
