Zu Guangqin, female, pen name Pinmo, art name Gugen, was born in December 1947 and retired from Dongxin No. 3 Primary School in Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province. She previously studied at the Daqing Senior University, Sanya Senior University, and Hainan Baoting Senior University. Starting in 2009, she studied painting and calligraphy under Master Liu Boliang. She is a member of the Daqing Painting and Calligraphy Association and the China Painting and Calligraphy Association. She participated in a painting and calligraphy competition organized by the Baoting County Literary and Art Federation in Hainan, where her work "Lotus" won the third prize. In a painting and calligraphy competition held by Sanya Senior University, her work "Rooster" won the second prize. During the Spring Festival of 2017, she painted live at a gala event hosted by Jiusuo in Leding, Hainan, receiving widespread acclaim.
In November 2017, she became a featured artist of the Australia Sydney Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Network.
