Personal Profile

Yu Wenxin, styled Boya, hao Yujie, also known as Master of Qinglian Jingxin Pavilion, was born in 1967 in Heilongjiang, with ancestral roots in Jiangsu. Since childhood, she has been fond of painting, particularly devoted to depicting peonies, orchids, and large-brush ink lotuses. In 1994, after being transferred to Beijing, she became a disciple of Master Zhou Shisong, known as the "Peony Immortal," and developed unique insights and profound expertise in ink-wash peony painting. Her peonies exude passion yet elegance, beauty without vulgarity, fully revealing the noble grace and heavenly fragrance of the peony. Her works have been exhibited multiple times at the China National Art Museum, the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Hall, the National Institute of Literature and History, the National Cultural Palace, and have also been displayed in South Korea, Japan, the United States, and other countries. Currently, she is a member of the China Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, a council member of the Wutai Mountain Painting and Calligraphy Creation Base of the China Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, a member of the Heilongjiang Branch of the China Artists Association, a member of the China Academy of Integrity Calligraphy and Painting under the China Society for Behavioral Law, a member of the Chinese Poetry Society, a member of the Beidahuang Artists Association, a member of the China Calligraphy and Painting Association, a member of the Beijing Art Creation Center, a council member of the Beijing Huaxia Huizhong International Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, a council member of the China Huaxia Wanlixing Calligraphy and Painting Association, a member of the China-Korea Calligraphy and Painting Association, a member of the Beijing Zhengde Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, and a member of the China Guodian Academy of Calligraphy and Painting. She is a contracted calligraphy and painting artist for Shoucang Tianxia and Beijing Fushengxuan Cultural Media, and a council member of the Beijing Xuanhe Academy of Painting and Calligraphy Art. In 2020, she was officially listed in the Famous Person Database.
