Personal Profile
Zhao Huanju, born in 1970 in Qiqihar, Heilongjiang Province, graduated from Harbin Art College and further studied in Huo Chunyang's Advanced Chinese Painting Research Class. He has held multiple solo calligraphy and painting exhibitions within and outside the province. He is currently a National Senior Painter, member of the China Elderly Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, member of the China Calligraphers and Painters Association, member of the Heilongjiang Provincial Artists Association, council member of the China International Calligraphy and Painting Alliance, member of the Heilongjiang Provincial Calligraphers Association, member of the Global Calligraphy and Art Association, teacher at Qiqihar Art School, and director of the Gannan County Calligraphy and Painting Academy. His artworks have been collected by numerous institutions both domestically and internationally. He has been selected and awarded numerous times in nationally authoritative calligraphy and painting exhibitions, falling just short by a few points of becoming a member of the China Artists Association.
Awards
In 1997, he won the First Prize in the Heilongjiang Province Celebration of Hong Kong's Return Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition.
In 1998, he won the Silver Award in the Anti-Flood Relief Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition.
In 2000, he won the First Prize in the Spring Blossom Cup New Year Celebration Yangzhou Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition.
In 2002, he won the Bronze Award in the Beijing Spring Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition.
In 2003, he won the First Prize in the Tang Yin Cup Suzhou Calligraphy and Art Exhibition, the Third Prize in the Huaxia Spring Wind Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition, and the Second Prize in the New Great Wall International Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition.
In 2005, he won the Second Prize in the Beijing Spring Wind Enters Every Home Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition and the Gold Award in the Hangzhou International Calligraphy and Painting Alliance Exhibition. He has won over a hundred awards in nationally authoritative calligraphy and painting exhibitions and has been appointed as an advisory teacher by multiple art colleges in Northeast China.
