      Li Hanqi, styled Xianyu Jushi, Han nationality, male, born in 1953 in Hebei Province, Baoding City, is a veteran artist specializing in both calligraphy and painting. He is a member of the China Calligraphers Association, a council member of the Hebei Branch of the China Calligraphers Association, an honorary academician of Hebei Art Institute, a renowned traditional Chinese painter, and an inheritor of intangible cultural heritage film painting. He is also a senior appraiser and appraiser, and the founder of Longhan Academy of Calligraphy and Painting.

       Calligraphy and painting are collective terms for the arts of calligraphy and painting. Chinese calligraphy and painting art is the essence of the world's cultural and artistic treasure trove and an art treasure worthy of appreciation and collection in human history. The art of calligraphy and painting is a time-honored traditional Chinese culture that, after thousands of years of development and enrichment, has accumulated new ideas and content, and has taken on fresh expressions in the hands of contemporary painters. His works are not bound by convention, full of originality, and pursue an artistic style that is simple, natural, elegant, and spirited. His works evoke a sense of freshness and vivacity, brimming with spiritual vitality and poetic ambiance.
       Li Hanqi's calligraphy works are priced at RMB 8,000 per square foot; his fine art works are priced at RMB 8,000–12,000 per square foot (2019 China Calligraphy and Painting Art Appraisal and Evaluation Center).
       Since childhood, he has been passionate about calligraphy and painting, devotedly studying calligraphy and traditional Chinese painting, practicing without ceasing, and studying ancient and modern masterpieces. He has integrated the styles of numerous calligraphers and painters throughout history, earning praise and acclaim from many experts in the field of calligraphy and painting. He frequently received guidance and assistance from Master Sun Zhanxiang, a renowned traditional Chinese painter employed at the county cultural center, gradually maturing his personal artistic path and serving society. After the Third Plenary Session, his film painting creations gained appreciation and recognition; local government leaders approved their use as commemorative gifts for business contacts, gradually expanding his business channels nationwide and earning high praise from clients. His works have been exhibited and awarded at county, regional, provincial, and national cultural exhibitions, and he has been honorably recognized as a "Cultural Advanced Individual," "Advanced Cultural Household" at county, regional, and provincial levels. He attended the provincial Department of Culture's commendation meeting and took commemorative photos with leaders from the provincial Department of Culture and the Provincial Party Committee. Provincial radio stations have repeatedly reported on his arduous journey of self-struggle, and the Baoding Daily published his works and news of his membership in the County Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the County Artists Association. The County Youth League Committee named him a "Model of Self-Education and Talent Development." He was admitted as a member of the China Farmers' Calligraphy and Painting Research Association and graduated from the China Calligraphy and Painting Correspondence University in 1989. He won the Gold Award at the Second and Third "China Dream Cup" Calligraphy and Painting Competitions.
       Currently, he is a Chinese National Gift Artist, a member of the County Poetry and Calligraphy Research Association, a member of the County Calligraphy and Painting Association, a member of the Baoding Calligraphers Association, and a council member of the Baoding Shenzhou Academy of Calligraphy and Painting. He previously studied at the Beijing Academy of Painting, and respectfully studied under Master Peng Peiquan and Master Gan Changlin in flower-and-bird painting. He is currently a member of the China Calligraphers and Painters Association, the Beijing Calligraphers and Painters Association, the Chinese Brush Calligraphy and Painting Education Society, and Deputy Secretary-General of the Haidian Couplets Association.
Awards and Honors:
In 1999, held multiple solo calligraphy and painting exhibitions in Hebei Province.
In 2000, participated in the China Painting Exhibition "Celebrating the Return of Macao" hosted by the China Calligraphy and Painting Association.
In 2003, participated in the 17th New Artists and New Works Exhibition hosted by the China Calligraphy and Painting Association;
In 2003, participated in the National Exhibition of Famous Calligraphers and Painters;
In 2004, participated in the National Chinese Painting Exhibition hosted by the China Artists Association;
In 2006, joined the Baoding Disabled Persons' Art Association.
In 2008, traveled to Beijing to participate in the Olympic Games Art Performance. In 2010, established a studio and participated in the World Expo film painting art performance.
In 2012, officially founded the Longhan Academy of Calligraphy and Painting.
In 2014, was invited to teach and promote film painting art in multiple locations.
In 2015, attended the master-apprentice ceremony led by Master Xi San and participated in the concurrent art exhibition.
In 2017, joined the China Mao-style Calligraphy Research Association.
In 2018, joined the Jipai Film Painting Art Association.
       Li Hanqi's traditional Chinese paintings offer viewers a sense of closeness to nature. To enjoy nature is not limited to art and imagery alone; the nature before our eyes is holistic, encompassing all sounds, colors, spirits, and atmospheres. One, as an artist who understands life, selects the spirit of nature and fuses it with one's own spirit — this is the shared attitude of all literati art. In recent years, Li Hanqi has skillfully integrated subtle gongbi techniques into his ink-wash paintings, endowing his traditional Chinese paintings with unique and extraordinary artistic effects.
