       Feng Jian, style name Xinran, art name Master of Hanli Studio, was born in 1952 and hails from Baoding City, Hebei Province. He is a contemporary renowned painter and calligrapher, member of the China Calligraphers and Painters Association, member of the Hebei Calligraphers Association, member of the Hebei Artists Association, National First-Class Artist, President of Yimei Calligraphy and Painting Academy, Cultural Consultant of Hebei Sanjia Yi Culture Media Co., Ltd., and Featured Artist of Beijing Huijingyuan Culture Development Co., Ltd. His rate is assessed at 5,000 RMB per square foot for calligraphy and 8,000 RMB per square foot for traditional Chinese painting.
       Since childhood, influenced by his ancestors, he has been deeply passionate about calligraphy and painting, and has diligently practiced for over fifty years. He initially studied Liu style, then turned to Ouyang Xun; for clerical script, he first studied Han bamboo slips, then meticulously copied the Shi Chen Stele. Drawing inspiration from ancient masters yet distinguishing himself from them, he has studied calligraphy under masters Huang Qi and Zhang Songling, and traditional Chinese painting under master Tian Xingfu, whose depictions of pastoral scenery, rural courtyards, and reed marshes of Baiyangdian profoundly influenced him. His calligraphy focuses primarily on clerical script and running-cursive script, while his paintings concentrate on ink-wash freehand style, with a special fondness for series of lotus flowers, gourds, loofahs, and roosters. His calligraphy and painting works have been repeatedly published in various newspapers and magazines, and have won first prizes in numerous national calligraphy and painting competitions. His works have been collected by multiple museums and renowned individuals and enterprises both domestically and internationally. His series "Watching Chess and Arranging Formation," a set of auspicious Go-themed paintings, has been permanently collected by the Huijingyuan Qi Cultural Museum. His works possess significant collection value.
