Personal Profile

Feng Wenge, styled Chiyun, art name Xuexi, also known as Master of Chiyun Studio. He graduated from the Hebei Educational College with a major in Chinese Language and Literature. He began practicing calligraphy at the age of 15 and has diligently pursued it for 35 years. In June 2015, he participated in the "National Art Cultivation Enhancement Class for Primary and Secondary School Calligraphy Teachers" hosted by the Xianting Calligraphy Studio in Shanhaiguan, Qinhuangdao, studying under Liu Heng, Director of the Calligraphy Training Department of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Chairman of the China Youth Calligraphers Association; Liu Jinkai, Vice Chairman of the China Calligraphers Association and Chairman of the Hebei Provincial Calligraphers Association; and Wang Zengjun, professor at the Calligraphy Training Department of the China Calligraphers Association. In July 2015, he made a special trip to Chengdu to pay homage to Master Xiao, a disciple of He Yinghui, Vice Chairman of the China Calligraphers Association and Chairman of the Sichuan Provincial Calligraphers Association, undergoing an intensive 11-day training program in cursive script. Industry authorities have praised his work: "He inherits and integrates the styles of Sun (Guoting), Wang (Xizhi), Huai (Su), and Mi (Fu); his brushwork is elegant yet vigorous, fluid and unrestrained, destined for great achievement." His works are collected by Shanghai Oriental Collection, the China Role Model Forum, the Organizing Committee of the 9th China Good Program Hong Kong-Macau Mid-Autumn Special Edition, Shijiazhuang Lancang Culture, the Xi Huang Ancient Homeland • Xinle Fourth "Roots of Affinity" Gathering, the Shijing Villa in Xibaipo, and numerous private collectors. He currently serves as a Academician of the Beijing Xinhua Fusion Media Academy of Painting and Calligraphy (International Masters Academy of Painting and Calligraphy), a contracted artist of the Art Creation Center of the Communist Youth League's "Shenying" Program, a researcher at the Hebei Province Academy of Painting and Calligraphy Art, a council member of the Hebei Province Integrity Culture Promotion Association, a member of the Hebei Province Folklore Society, a member of the Painting and Calligraphy Committee of the Hebei Province Society of Social Elites, a committee member of the Painting and Calligraphy Committee of the Hebei Province Friends of Middle-aged and Elderly Club, and an art consultant of the Hebei "San Su" Academy of Painting and Calligraphy.
