Li Dongxiao, also known as Xinwu Jushi, was born in Raoyang County, Hebei Province in 1984. He graduated from Hebei Institute of Arts and Crafts. He is a member of the China Arts and Crafts Society, a Hebei Provincial Master of Folk Arts and Crafts, a member of Hengshui Artists Association, a visiting professor at Hengshui Vocational and Technical College, and a part-time professor at Shandong Laiwu Vocational and Technical College. He also serves as an art consultant for Shandong Yingyunzhai Art and Culture Company and is the dean of Wumingzhai Art Academy.

Li Dongxiao, also known as Xinwu Jushi, was born in Raoyang County, Hebei Province. He studied inner painting under masters Liu Hui and Lu Jiangguang, and later furthered his studies at Baoding Institute of Arts and Crafts under the tutelage of Zhao Xiaohai and Xie Chongli. Drawing extensively from the rich traditions of folk art and ancient Chinese painting, he has developed a unique personal painting style.
His representative works are imbued with deep emotion and executed with refined brushwork, exhibiting the splendor and elegance characteristic of Tang Dynasty painting. His fluent linework and precise forms create compositions that are both grand and rigorous, with harmonious and subtly elegant coloring. His accurate depiction of subjects’ temperament and expressions, achieved through meticulous attention to gesture and detail, exemplifies the artistic principle of “capturing the spirit through form.”
His works have received unanimous acclaim and have been collected by numerous eminent Buddhist monks and collectors. He personally painted and presented an oil portrait of Venerable Master Hsing Yun, founding abbot of Fo Guang Shan, who highly praised and commended the work.
