Jia Shaochang

Born in 1972 in Guantao, Hebei. Studied under Professor Qiao Shiguang of the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University. Currently holds the following positions: National First-Class Artist, Member of the China Artists Association, Member of the China Zhi Gong Party, Member of the China Association for the Promotion of Culture and Arts, Visiting Professor at the School of Art, Yanching Institute of Technology, Visiting Professor at the Department of Fine Arts, Xinjiang Arts Institute, and Distinguished Professor at the Department of Arts and Crafts, Beijing City University. Also serves as Secretary-General of the Beijing Zhi Gong Calligraphy and Painting Art Committee, President of the Beijing Jiuzhou Wenbo Calligraphy and Painting Academy, and Director of the Contemporary Lacquer Art Committee of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce Folk Art Merchants Association.
