       Lai Youqiang, also known as Lai Youwei, is a renowned painter from Guangxi. Born in 1976, he has loved painting since childhood and possesses exceptional talent. He studied under Yang Hui and Long Tingba, disciples of Xu Beihong. Influenced by the works of Chen Yifei, he does not adhere rigidly to convention but continuously explores and experiments with innovation, striving to develop his own artistic language and infuse his emotions into his paintings to create works with soul. He currently serves as Vice President of the Bai Juyi Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Institute, Vice President of the Guangxi Hanbao Calligraphy and Painting Institute, Member of the Guangxi Youth Artists Association, Member of the Nanning Artists Association, Member of the China Youth Artists Association, and Member of the China Democratic League.  2018: Three oil paintings, "Home River Qingshui," "Beijing Drifter Actress," and "Great Fortune and Prosperity," were included in the art magazine "Art Palace."  2018: The oil painting "Wuxiang Soaring" was selected as an outstanding work in the Nanning Municipal CPPCC System Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition.  April 2018: Awarded the "Outstanding Teacher Award" at the Calligraphy and Painting Competition hosted by Beijing Normal University.  May 2018: Led the large-scale "Ocean and Polar" mural project (Nanning) in Southwest China, receiving high recognition from both the client and contractor.  July 2018: The painting "A Corner of the Zhuang Homeland" was exhibited in the "Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the 60th Anniversary of the Guangxi Committee of the China Democratic League" Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition.  August 2018: The oil paintings "A Thousand Postures and Colors" and "Residential Houses" and "Moon Bay" were exhibited in the Calligraphy, Painting, and Photography Exhibition, and collected by Guangxi Chuangyi Cultural Industry Co., Ltd.  May 2019: The paintings "Yao Family" and "Hundred Treasures King" were exhibited in the National Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition "Me and My Motherland" hosted by the Guangxi Regional Library. September 2019: Selected as an outstanding work in the Calligraphy, Painting, and Photography Exhibition celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of New China and the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. January 2020: Participated in the Guangxi Youth Artists Association Spring Festival Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition. Lai Youwei's works are emotionally compelling and dynamic, offering a fresh perspective. He has won numerous awards in national and regional competitions and is widely appreciated and collected by the general public, government agencies, enterprises, and art institutions.
