Li Wan, born in Guilin, graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Guangxi Normal University in 1995, and further studied at the Chinese Painting Department of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 1999. After twenty years of arduous trials and refinement, he has integrated Eastern and Western painting techniques to develop a distinctive personal style in his artwork. He has been invited multiple times to participate in international calligraphy and painting exhibitions in Southeast Asia, Japan, and other regions, accumulating numerous awards. Renowned for his unique depictions of peonies and birds, he has been praised by friends in the art world as the "King of Southern Peonies," for whom Mr. Lan Huaichang, Chairman of the Guangxi Federation of Literary and Art Circles, personally wrote a calligraphy piece titled "King of Southern Peonies" as a gift. Li Wan is currently Vice President of the Guilin Yayuan Calligraphy and Painting Institute, a member of the Guangxi Artists Association, Vice President of the China Contemporary Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Association, and a council member of the China Calligraphy and Painting Artists Association. He is a National Level One Artist and has been honored with titles such as Top 400 Contemporary Chinese Bird-and-Flower Painters, Contemporary Master of Calligraphy and Painting, Cross-Century Artist, and International Artist.
