“The secret whispers of Zi, Chou, Mao, and Yin; one rat, one ox, one tiger, one rabbit—each has its own emotion.” Combining five thousand years of animal civilization with island culture, and integrating Han Meilin’s traditional and contemporary aesthetic innovations at the ends of the earth, the twelve animal themes of this exhibition are distributed throughout the gallery in “blind box” format. Each theme section appears similar from the outside, but inside each lies six digital elements. Perhaps the next box you enter will reveal your “zodiac animal.”

Roosters crow, dogs play ahead, cattle and sheep gather together, and dolphins dwell at the gate. As a New Year exhibition, the “Han Meilin Zodiac Art Exhibition” will span the Lunar New Year. During the New Year period, a series of cultural and aesthetic activities will be co-hosted with the exhibition, invoking the ancient zodiac civilization to bless citizens across the nation for the festive season.

In recent years, Han Meilin has received honors including UNESCO’s Kalinga Prize for the Popularization of Science, the International Olympic Committee’s Pierre de Coubertin Medal, and the Presidential Order of Cultural Merit from South Korea. He has held exhibitions such as the Han Meilin Art Exhibition, Han Meilin: Eighty, Han Meilin Zodiac Art Exhibition, and Han Meilin: Tian Shu Art Palace Exhibition, and has staged global exhibitions in Venice, Paris, Liechtenstein, Seoul, and Bangkok.
