Li Shaoying, style name: Heting, pseudonym: Moyi Shaoshuai, studio name: Huaxinge. A native of Jingchuan County, Gansu Province (ancient Jingzhou), he has been deeply passionate about calligraphy and painting since childhood. For over twenty years, he has persistently practiced without pause, with intense dedication and tireless exploration. He has studied famous historical calligraphy models by Wang, Ouyang, Yan, Liu, as well as renowned modern calligraphers' masterpieces. Proficient in regular, running, cursive, and clerical scripts, he particularly excels in running and cursive styles characterized by a unique personal flair. Since 2000, he has devoted himself to studying traditional Chinese painting—first "plunging deep" to absorb its essence and build a solid foundation, then "emerging" to conduct in-depth research and forge ahead innovatively. Currently, he is a painter at the China Academy of Painting and a member of the China Artists Association. His esteemed teachers include Li Chunyuan, Jia Zhenxiang, Li Guangchun, Fu Bogeng, Liu Yimin, Zhang Guangwu, Liu Guozhong, Zhou Zunsheng, and Zhou Zuncheng.
