Personal Profile

Song Li, courtesy name Zhongwen, art name Bao Mu, born in 1948, Han ethnicity, member of the Communist Party of China. Since childhood, I have been fond of fine arts; during junior high school, I studied sketching for three years at the Beijing Children's Palace. After retirement, I studied landscape painting at the Lanzhou City Elderly University and figure painting at the Gansu Province Elderly University. I am a member of the Gansu Provincial Artists Association, the Gansu Province Science and Technology Community Calligraphy and Painting Association, the Gansu Province Elderly Calligraphy and Painting Association, the Lanzhou City Elderly Calligraphy and Painting Association, the Gansu Silk Road Association, the Record Network China Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute, and the Shaanxi Province Electric Power Artists Association. My works have been exhibited in annual elderly university exhibitions in Lanzhou and Gansu Province. My works were selected for the 2015 Nine Provinces along the Yellow River Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition, the 2016 National Elderly Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition, the 2016 Shaanxi Province Electric Power Artists Association Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition, the 2015 Gansu Province Silk Road Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition, the 2016 "Praising the Party's Grace, Rekindling the Long March Spirit, Realizing the Chinese Dream" General, Minister, and Master Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition, and received second prize in the 2015 Gansu Province Science and Technology Community Calligraphy, Painting, and Photography Exhibition. My work was also selected for the 2016 Gansu Province Zhonghe Cup Master Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition. My work won the "Top Ten Painters Award" in the 2015 CCTV Treasure Investment Online Calligraphy and Painting Competition. I was honored with the title of "Calligrapher and Painter with Influential Brand Impact" in 2017 by China. I was invited as a judge for the 2017 Sun Life National Fourth Youth and Children's Painting Competition and presented awards to winners. I received the "Excellent Award in China Division" in the World Art Competition Online Voting Event hosted by the Kaifeng Subifù Cultural Arts Development Center in 2017. Fifteen of my works have been published on the Record Network - Calligraphy and Painting Channel.
