Jin Fayong

        Jin Fayong, male, was born in 1955 in Jingning, Gansu. Founder of Pictographic Calligraphy. Currently serving as Standing Director and Researcher of the China Calligraphers and Painters Association, Standing Director of the China Folk Calligraphers Association, Vice President of the China Hanmo Art Research Institute, Vice President of the China Cultural Arts Research Institute, Vice Chairman of the China Pictographic Calligraphy Association, Member of the China Calligraphers Friendship Association, Member of the China Calligraphy Art Association, Member of the Influential Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Association, Member of the Chinese Folk Calligraphy and Painting Masters Federation, Academician of the Guanyin Mountain Calligraphy and Painting Academy, and Pictographic Art Master of the China Esoteric Calligraphy and Painting Federation.         His representative work, "Pictographic Calligraphy: The Twelve Zodiac Signs," has been collected by numerous international friends and international museums and is officially registered for copyright with the China Copyright Bureau. Decades of accumulation have deepened his research and understanding of calligraphy art. Calligraphy is a national artistic treasure of the Chinese nation, whose beauty lies in the integration of emptiness and substance, form and spirit. Banner script flows like water, dragons soaring and phoenixes dancing, effortlessly graceful, structurally robust, with fluid brushstrokes executed in one continuous motion—elegant and fluent. After many years of exploration, he discovered that the secret to calligraphy lies in comprehension and persistent practice, enabling one to have a clear vision before putting brush to paper, as if guided by divine assistance—this is what is meant by "calligraphy is the painting of the heart."       In addition to calligraphy, he has also conducted profound research in clay sculpture and root carving. His clay sculptures are delicate and unique, lifelike in expression. His root carvings are equally outstanding, featuring intricate forms and innovative creativity.
