Su Canping, male, Han nationality, was born in November 1988 in Quanzhou, the "Cultural Capital of East Asia". He is from Hui'an County, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province. He has a college education and has been fond of calligraphy and painting since childhood. He has always been committed to learning and practicing calligraphy. He started by copying the stele rubbings of Liu Gongquan and Yan Zhenqing, then proceeded to copy the ink traces of the Four Masters of the Song Dynasty and works from the Wei and Jin periods. Later, he studied the ink traces of Wang Duo, Fu Shan, Huang Daozhou, Zhang Ruitu, and others from the Ming and Qing dynasties, and further studied the works of famous calligraphers such as Master Hong Yi. His works have won numerous awards and have been exhibited many times. He is currently a member of the Chinese Calligraphy Association and an academician of the Beijing Huaxia Lan Ting Calligraphy and Painting Academy. He is also a member of the International Association of Chinese Calligraphers and Artists. In 2016, his work entered the award evaluation range of the National Chinese Calligraphy Network Competition organized by the Chinese Calligraphy Association. In January 2017, he won the Excellence Award in the Second National Calligraphy Competition. In January 2017, he won the Merit Award in the Second National Ten Thousand People's Calligraphy and Hardcopy Calligraphy Competition. In 2017, he won the Silver Award in the Fifth "China Dream Cup" National Calligraphy Competition. In April 2017, he became an academician of the Beijing Huaxia Lan Ting Calligraphy and Painting Academy. In May 2017, his work entered the preliminary round of the Shandong Province Youth Art Competition titled "Happy Chinese New Year - Writing New Year Pictures, Celebrating the New Year". In May 2017, he became a member of the International Association of Chinese Calligraphers and Artists.
