Zheng Yuntao, also known as Zheng Muzhen, was born in 1953 and styled Xidaoshan Ren. He is a member of the Chinese Hong Kong Artists Association, a member of the China Calligraphers and Painters Association, a council member of the International Cultural Arts Exchange Center, a member of Sun Yat-sen Academy—Fujian Yixian Art Garden Artists Association, a member of Dali Prefecture Artists Association in Yunnan, a member of Wuyishan Calligraphers and Painters Association in Fujian, Director of Xingyun Painting Art Garden, Professor at Sanming University in Fujian, and Special-Class Mentor. He is also Honorary Advisor to the Fujian Sanming Arts and Crafts Artists Association. A national gift painter, he studied under renowned masters including Zheng Naiguang, Yuan Xiaocen, and Zheng Xuesheng.       A contemporary famous bird-and-flower painter, widely acclaimed as the modern "King of Peacocks." His works have been included in numerous encyclopedias such as Biographical Dictionary of Famous Chinese People, World Outstanding Experts and Talents Directory, and China Experts Dictionary.       His paintings such as Peacock Picture, Spring Unfolding, Cranes for Longevity, and others have won acclaim and awards in major exhibitions both domestically and internationally. His long scroll painting A Hundred Birds Contending for Spring won a Silver Award at the Southern Pictorial's 30th Anniversary Exhibition. Many of his works have been published by various publishing houses.        His personally published collections include Zheng Yuntao's Selected Peacock Paintings and Zheng Yuntao's Selected Bird-and-Flower Paintings. From 2010 to 2011, his works including A Hundred Peacocks, Gathering Auspiciousness with Peacocks, A Hundred Cranes, A Thousand Autumns of a Hundred Cranes, Ink Lotus and Egret, successively received six World Record - World's Greatest Certificates awarded by the World Records Association. Some works are still under application. In 2013, his peacock and red-crowned crane paintings were recommended by the China Diplomatic Relations Research Institute as state gift artworks and collected by countries including Romania. In 2019, China Post invited Zheng Yuntao’s artworks to be featured in the commemorative album “Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the PRC,” which was officially published.        World Records Association, Fujian Television Station, Southeast Express Daily, Strait Metropolis Daily, and many other provincial news media across China have conducted extensive reports on him. Invitations have been received from CCTV, National Publishing House, and other relevant departments, and these projects are currently under preparation.        Relevant information and artworks can be found through online searches on Baidu, Google, and other platforms. A large number of his works are collected by collectors and institutions both domestically and internationally.        The current price for his artworks is 15,000 RMB per square chi.
