Zhang Haifeng

Zhang Haifeng, styled Xi Shang, known as the Master of De Sheng Studio, and self-styled as Yun You Zi, pen name: (originally Zi Qing, later changed to Zi Qing) was born in 1989 in an ordinary rural family in Fujian Province. Because his grandfather was a scholar in those days, he learned from his grandfather at a young age that being a person is like writing. He has been fond of calligraphy since childhood. He also loved Mao Zedong's calligraphy poetry collection. He then deeply studied and researched "Mao-style" calligraphy, oracle bone script, regular script, small seal script, large seal script, Han dynasty seal script, clerical script, lacquer script, and cursive script. No matter what ancient famous stele rubbings or modern calligraphy art works, he carefully pondered and learned them. He regarded calligraphy as the basic principles of being a person. Especially, he practiced the four great regular scripts of Tang Dynasty - Ou, Yan, Liu, and Zhao several times a day, absorbing the essence of the books. He often used the works of the two Wangs (Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi) in the Wei and Jin Dynasties to explore creative inspiration, following the artistic conception of the two Wangs' calligraphy with Wang Xizhi's perfect combination of hardness and softness. His works take the promotion of Chinese traditional culture as the theme and advocate harmony as the core of artistic pursuit. He is now a member of the China International Calligrapher-Artist Association, a researcher of the Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute of Zhongzhou University, a member of the China Mao-Style Calligraphers Association, a senior researcher of the China Mao-Style Calligraphers Association, a member of the China Hard Pen Calligraphy Association, a calligraphy creation teacher (member) of the Beijing Renhe Calligraphy and Painting Academy, a contracted painter and calligrapher of the Inner Mongolia Financial Calligraphy and Painting Academy, and an academician of the Beijing Renhe Calligraphy and Painting Academy.
