Zhu Hexi, male, born in February 1950, from Chaohu, Anhui Province, is a renowned deaf-mute painter and currently a National First-Class Artist. He serves as an executive committee member of the Chinese Disabled Artists Friendship Association, a member of the Anhui Provincial Artists Association, standing director of the Anhui Provincial Disabled Artists Association, and specially appointed painter at Wuhu Calligraphy and Painting Institute. Since childhood, he has suffered from hearing and speech impairments, yet remains strong-willed despite his physical challenges. His works have been selected for numerous exhibitions: "World Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition" hosted by China Artists Association (1997); "Zhong Xiang Cup National Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition" hosted by China Artists Association (1998); "Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Founding of the PRC and Welcoming Macao’s Return—National Poets, Calligraphers, and Painters Award Exhibition," where he won an Excellence Award (1999); the painting "A Thousand Peaks Appear Amid Sudden Rain" was selected for the art exhibition celebrating Macao's return, hosted by China Artists Association (1999); "Wanhe Songfeng" was selected for the National Art Exhibition marking the 50th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and received an Excellence Award (1999); "Autumn Mountains, Myriad Valleys, Pine Winds" was selected for the National Chinese Painting Works Exhibition hosted by China Artists Association (2000); "Wanhe Songfeng Showcases the Journey of a Noble Scholar" was selected for the "Invited Works Exhibition of One Hundred Well-Known National Chinese Painters" hosted by China Artists Association (2003); awarded a Gold Prize in the "Charming Yichang—National Calligraphy and Painting Works Collection" (2016). He has held five solo art exhibitions to date. etc..
