Personal Profile
Cha Rihua, born in December 1944, in Tongling, Anhui. Mr. Cha Rihua is well-known for his regular script calligraphy, and he is also skilled in running, clerical, seal, cursive, and Wei stele scripts. He can write with non-traditional tools, write with both hands simultaneously, cross-write, write with his left hand, and even write with a brush held in his mouth while practicing qigong. Especially notable is his unique three-in-one calligraphy style combining clerical, Wei, and running scripts, which is original, distinctive, and refreshing, earning him fame both at home and abroad.
Currently, Mr. Cha Rihua serves as an art consultant of the Sino-India Arhat Painting and Calligraphy Institute, a member of the China Calligraphers Association, an art consultant of the Huipai Culture Communication Center, a senior calligraphy committee member of the Personnel Research Society of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, an academician of the China Oriental Masters of Arts and Calligraphy Academy (Beijing), an executive council member of the World Chinese Calligraphers Association (also serving as vice secretary-general), and an art teacher of the Qilu Painting and Calligraphy Institute in Shanghai.
