Personal Profile

Zhu Yuewen, male, born in 1978, graduated from Wuhu Deaf and Mute Vocational School in 1994. For many years, he has been learning landscape painting creation from his father Zhu Hexi, and also visited famous teachers such as Huang Yecun, Xu Peichen, Lin Xiaozhi, and Fang Jianchen with his father. He is currently a member of Anhui Provincial Artists Association, and the chairman of Wuhu Deaf and Mute Artists Association.In 1995, he won the third prize in the "Akashi Cup" National Youth and Children's Painting Competition (organized by China Artists Association and China Calligraphers Association). In 1999, he won the second prize in the First Anhui Province Disabled People's Art and Calligraphy Exhibition (organized by Anhui Provincial Disabled Persons' Federation). In 2001, he won the gold prize in the "New Century Cup" Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Grand Prize Competition (organized by Shaanxi Provincial Artists Association). In 2001, he was awarded the special gold prize in the "Millennium Dragon Cup" International Youth Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition (organized by Shaanxi Provincial Artists Association). In 2002, his landscape work was included in the first Chinese Painting and Small Works Competition (organized by Hunan Artists Association). In 2005, he won the excellent work award in the First "Yangzhou Eight Masters" National Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition (organized by Yangzhou Artists Association and Cultural Federation).
