Tang Jiafa

Tang Jiafa: Style name Haochuan, born on January 11, 1937...

Native Place: Anhui Province, Hefei City, Changfeng County.

Place of Origin: Anhui Province, Chuzhou City, Mingguang City; currently residing in Shenzhen.

Graduated from the Chinese Department of Hefei Normal College in 1963, and was assigned to Dingyuan County, where he taught successively at Chih River Middle School (1963-1969), Fuxiao Junior High School (1969-1977), and was later reassigned back to Chih River Middle School (1977-1980).

From 1980 to 1997, he was transferred to the Teaching and Research Office of the Dingyuan County Education Bureau, serving as a Chinese language researcher for secondary schools until his retirement in 1997.
 

Teaching Methods and Educational Reform

During his teaching tenure, he focused on encouraging students to read and write extensively, broadening their knowledge base, enriching their Chinese language skills, and comprehensively improving their writing abilities across various genres (specific practices detailed in the article "Teaching Summary Report").

During his research period, he advocated the unit teaching method, avoiding repetitive, lesson-by-lesson instruction, thereby freeing up substantial time for students to engage in extensive reading and writing. This method won first prize at the Four-Province Chinese Language Conference and is supported by published papers.

     
He also held multiple concurrent positions during his teaching and research career:

1. Appointed by East China Normal University as a correspondence tutor for both Chinese and Geography undergraduate programs;

2. Chinese language tutor for the Dingyuan County Direct-Administered Agencies Associate Degree Class;

3. Chinese language teacher at Dingyuan Agricultural Broadcasting School;

4. Part-time Chinese language teacher at Dingyuan No.2 High School for two terms;

5. Council member of the Chuzhou Region Secondary School Chinese Language Research Association;

6. Member of the Chuzhou City Vocational Education Evaluation Committee;

7. Council member of the Four-Province (Jiangsu, Shandong, Henan, Anhui) Secondary School Chinese Language Seminar, during which a paper received first prize;

8. Standing Committee Member of the Third and Fourth Sessions of the Dingyuan County Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
